Apparently, it is more worth it in the long run if I purchase it from school. It comes with the 3 year guarantee thing which costs <span style="font-weight: bold;">$446</span> by itself, along with a program that costs about $200-$300 and an adapter. The retail price for the Macbook costs $1.5K.<br /><br />But the cheapest Mac from NP costs 1.9K. The most expensive (but beautiful) laptop in school. I'm thinking of applying for the interest-free thing. If I'm eligible, I'll get the one that costs $2.2K.<br /><br />I'd reckon a Mac from the IT fair would cost $1.4-$1.5, but without the protection plan and the program.<br /><br />Time will tell.<div style="clear:both; padding-bottom:0.25em"></div>
